Justin B. May
Co-Owner and Managing Litigation Partner
Justin May is a native of Fleming County, Kentucky. Justin founded the Dixie Law Group, PSC, with Brian Weber after being admitted to the Kentucky Bar in 2015. Justin aggressively litigates semi-truck wrecks, car accidents, bad faith insurance claims, slip and falls, and other negligent acts leading to excellent results for Dixie Law Group’s clients.
In 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020, Justin was named one of the Top 10 Personal Injury Attorneys in Kentucky under 40 years old by the National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys.
In 2018, Justin was selected as a Distinguished Lawyer™ based on peer reviews and ratings and accomplishments achieved throughout his career in personal injury law.
In 2018, 2019, and 2020, Justin was named as a Rising Star Super Lawyer. The Rising Stars list recognizes no more than 2.5 percent of attorneys in each state.
In 2019, Justin tried a trucking case attaining a $646,000 unanimous verdict in Federal Court in Louisville, KY. The verdict came after declining an offer from the insurance company for the truck driver of $175,000 on the eve of trial. The medical bills in the case were stipulated at less than $10,000, but the client had a permanent condition that would affect her for the rest of her life. Justin and the client decided the case was worth more than the offer. The jury agreed with their unanimous verdict.
Justin has been asked to speak several times at the University of Kentucky Law School and the University of Louisville Law School to future lawyers about litigation tactics and starting their own law firm. In law school at Saint Louis University, Justin was elected the president of the student body by his peers, which was a significant honor.
Justin volunteers at supplies overseas and is an avid supporter of Shirley’s Way and Southwest Community Ministries in Louisville.
Justin is a proud alumnus of Delta Tau Delta fraternity at Morehead State University. In his free time, Justin enjoys watching movies, cooking, sports, and spending time with his family.
