1 killed in motorcycle crash in Louisville, Kentucky

When a driver isn't paying attention or makes a mistake behind the wheel, it can end up causing another person serious injuries or even causing someone to die. The risk of death is particularly high when the crash involves a motorcyclist.

Motorcyclists have little in the way of protection. With no frame around the vehicle, nothing but their bodies take the force of a crash. That can lead to serious injuries like head injuries or even lead to death.

Since summer is here, more motorcyclists are on the roads. That is just one reason drivers need to pay attention to what they're doing. A vehicle and motorcycle collided in Park DuValle, leading to the death of a 25-year-old man. Police in Louisville reported that the crash took place close to 30th street.

The accident occurred like many involving motorcyclists do. The driver of the car reportedly did not see the man on the motorcycle and decided to make a left turn. When he did that, he cut off the motorcyclist, who was heading south on Wilson Avenue, and caused the collision.

The police have said that motorcycle crashes like this one have become more of a problem in the area lately. Two people have been killed in two days, as of the date of the new report, June 10. The other incident occurred when a motorcyclist lost control of his vehicle and hit a fence.

Crashes like these are preventable. If you're hit by a driver who should have been paying more attention, your attorney can help you file a claim for compensation.
