Man accused of causing car accident, assaulting woman

Imagine getting into a car accident. You were minding your own business when someone ran through an intersection and hit you. You barely have time to think about what just happened before the person is out of his or her vehicle and approaching you.

In most cases, that person would be getting out to help, but that's not what allegedly occurred in Louisville, Kentucky. A man in Louisville has been accused of robbing and assaulting a woman after he reportedly slammed into her vehicle with his own. The story states that the man used a stolen vehicle to ram into the woman's vehicle and disable it in the intersection.

The woman claims she was trying to make a turn onto South Park Road when the man collided with her vehicle. That's when the 38-year-old man got out of his vehicle and approached her. It's the next part of this story that seems almost unreal. He allegedly choked her with a gun in one hand while placing her vehicle into park.

It was then that the victim claims that the man dragged her out of the vehicle and into a nearby wooded area. It's not clear why he took her there, but he threatened to kill her if she sought medical attention or called the police. He then stole her vehicle after returning to the scene of the accident. He was arrested the following day in the vehicle he had allegedly used to ram into the woman's car. That car had also been reported stolen.

Situations like this are extremely uncommon. Most drivers want to know that others involved in an accident are okay. If you're hurt, you should call 911 and get the medical help you need. You can take care of the legal paperwork for your case later.
